Death Date Calculator: FAQ

The honest, slightly morbid answers to what people ask Morty most.

What is a death date calculator?

A death date calculator is an entertainment tool that estimates a fun, hypothetical "expiry date" from national life-expectancy averages, your body-mass index (BMI), and lifestyle answers. ExpireOnDate.com turns that estimate into a headstone, a live countdown, and a calendar invite. It is for fun only — never a medical prediction.

How does ExpireOnDate.com calculate my death date?

We start from your country's average life expectancy for your sex, adjust for BMI, then add or subtract years based on 21 lifestyle questions — scored as deviations from an average person, since national averages already bake in typical habits. Finally we add a random "cosmic wildcard" of 1–9 years for luck and genetics, then convert the total into a specific future date. The full method is on our how it works page.

Is the death clock accurate or a real prediction?

No. ExpireOnDate.com is 100% for entertainment. It is not medical advice, a scientific forecast, or an insurance tool. Real lifespan depends on countless unpredictable factors. For any health concern, please consult a qualified doctor.

Is my data private?

Yes. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser. Your nickname, birth date, measurements, and answers are never sent to a server and never stored. Refresh and it's all gone. See our privacy policy.

Can I add my estimated death day to Google Calendar?

Yes. On the results screen, "Add to Google Calendar" opens a pre-filled one-hour event at your estimated date, complete with your cause-of-doom story and a clear disclaimer.
