Question 3 of 24

Recreational pharmaceuticals or 'borrowing' prescriptions?

Better living through chemistry (allegedly)

๐Ÿ’€ A grim little fact

The UNODC World Drug Report 2024 counts over 100,000 overdose deaths a year worldwide, and opioids account for about 69% of them. The plot twist nobody wanted: nitazenes, a new class of synthetic opioids that can be more potent than fentanyl, are now turning up in the supply.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Myth vs. Morty

Myth: "It's a prescription, so it's safe," or "I only do it recreationally, I've got it handled." The overdose statistics are overwhelmingly written by people who were absolutely certain they had it handled. Tolerance lies, potency varies wildly batch to batch, and 'recreational' has a way of quietly renegotiating its contract.

Morty isn't judging โ€” he just really hates unscheduled paperwork.
